Teen Mom Connect
Clark County Edition
Who are we?
We, the founders of this website, are Level 2 Nursing Students from UNLV. As we continue to study different types of populations in the hospital, we also have had the opportunity to study populations in the community of Clark County. After establishing that Teen Moms and Pregnant Teens are a vulnerable population, we attempted to look for resources to help improve their pregnancy, birth experience, future well-being of their child, and growth in motherhood. We recognized that many resources are available for future teen moms, but realized that gathering information by yourself during a stressful time can be exhausting and defeating. We developed this website to have multiple resources and information in one place to take stress off of the readers who may be in a panic or don't know where to start regarding resources. In this effort, we are hoping to fulfill the Healthy People 2020 goal of "Improving Health and Well-Being of Women, Infants, Children, and Families." Please let us know what you think!
